The city fell nearly $300,000 short of meeting its obligation last year, which meant the amount increased this year from $500,000. Local vendors who were essentially shut out of the training center and environs last summer might rightfully ask how that shortfall became their problem.
All of us should be asking how such exclusion occurred at a facility our community so generously provided to one of football’s richest franchises.
